The weather is turning colder, leaves are falling, days getting shorter.
It's official: winter is on the way (if not already here).
Most trampolines take a bit of a battering in the Summer. Therefore the winter months are the perfect time to carry out some annual trampoline maintenance.
Check It Out
Check your trampoline over. You'll need to have a good look out for:
- Holes, tearing and sagging in the enclosure net(it's an essential part of keeping the trampoline safe - a small hole can give way to a rip if children fall against the enclosure)
- Rusty or broken springs
- Holes in the jumping mat
- Deteriorating safety pads (the part that covers the springs).
- Rusting in the frame and snapped or loose screws, nuts and bolts.
Any broken, rusted or bent parts will need to be replaced. Authentic spare parts can be purchased through our website and we have a handy spare parts finder to help you find the correct replacement (top tip: sign up to our website and receive 15% off your first order, including spare parts).
Prevention: Better than Cure...
We've all seen stories of trampolines flying through the air and ending up in unlikely places. In windy weather it's always necessary to anchor your trampoline to the ground and it's a good idea to remove the enclosure too.
Protect your trampoline by covering it during the winter months. Cover it up to save the safety pad and jumping mat from weathering.
Not planning on jumping during the winter? It's not essential but you might want to dismantle your trampoline entirely. It's definitely worth removing your enclosure and storing it away until Spring.
